    ILFORD Pinhole Photography Kit

The robust HARMAN TiTAN camera has been designed in conjunction with, and manufactured in the UK by Walker Cameras who are well known for their range of Titan large format film cameras. The body is made from injection moulded ABS, finished with a very durable non-slip coating. All fittings are made from stainless steel. This combination of materials makes the camera exceptionally durable and able to withstand extreme natural elements, and rough handling. The camera, which can be used with any photographic film or paper, takes a 4 x 5 film holder and features tripod mount positions, built-in spirit levels, and accessory mount. The kit model comes with a 72mm wide-angle cone, which is interchangeable. Separate cones of 110 and 150mm, which is the same focal length as on a 5 x 4 camera, are planned as optional extras.

  3. I just finished my last few sheets of Polaroid 600 film. I’d been holding off making pictures with them for some time.

Yesterday I purchased a new camera the Polaroid 300. This camera currently has plenty of readily available film stock, particularly given that fuji make a film that fits as well. So I went ahead and finished the shots in the older polaroid camera. I photographed familiar things, things that over the years I’ve come to love seeing photographed and whose appearance delights me as a photograph.

As I expected, the pictures are full of the usual Polaroid flaws, which, despite Walter Benjamin’s and John Berger’s assertions make them unique and individual objects. Which in turn makes them priceless to me. Are they worthy of further contemplation and fetishisation, I don’t know. The only given is they will deteriorate over time, granted they may outlive me, but, the colours will shift and the blemishes will grow.

Who knows maybe they’ll hang on a gallery wall one day, because I don’t feel they can be truly appreciated any other way than as small objects, decaying, slowly.

  6. Toy Camera Collection

My lo-fi/toy camera collection is about to expand by 2 more cameras. I recently found  fourccornerstore.com and was impressed with the array of cameras on sale, so I bought two cameras. One a tiny usb sized camera, the other a small variant on the Vivitar cameras.

This tiny usb camera boasts an incredible 1024 x 768 pixel sensor!

From the folks who brought us the Biscuit camera comes the new PICK camera! With 2.0 megapixels, and both still and video capability, this new cam is great new way to capture some lo-fi pics and movies. We’ve been playing with one for a few days, and are really enjoying the images and the ease of use. Simply plug it into your USB port to charge or download images. Requires a Micro SD card which will give you hundreds of images on one charge. No batteries needed

When Vivitar gave up on the Ultra Wide and Slim, SuperHeadz stepped in with not one, but a family of clones to fill the void. These gems are wrapped in a rubberized coating that feels amazing and improves the grip of the camera. Available in an assortment of colors, all sport the amazing 22mm lens that gives you wonderful vignettes.

    Pictures to come.
